Baby Shower Decor

I have a friend who is having her second baby. What's fun is that she's decided not to find out the gender until birth! How fun is that?!

Well, we naturally had to throw a baby shower for her, and make it as neutral as possible. I couldn't attend the shower, but I put together a bunch of origami flowers to help decorate. Here are some photos of the event:

I made extra large lotus flowers out of half-sheets of regular printer paper. They turned out SO BIG, that they decided to use them as "post caps" for the fence streamers. So cute!!

Gotta have the watermelon baby carriage!

Lillies were placed on two tables and twisty roses were scattered on the tables.

All the decor looked so fabulous, it was so fun to help put these little pieces together. I may be biased, but I think my friends did a fantastic job decorating for this event!

The bouquets of lillies were my favorite.

Here are some instructions for the flowers I made:

Origami Lotus Flower

I found this on Pinterest and Etsy, and have wanted to make it for over a year now! I'm terrible at getting around to things, so I finally did it today. I LOVE the way it turned out and it wasn't nearly as difficult as it appears!

Origami Wedding Butterflies

I received a custom order via Etsy for 50 origami butterflies in silver. I could not find a suitable silver colored paper, so we opted for metallic paper instead.

She planned on using them as decor / embellishments at her wedding. I have no doubts that they will look beautiful on her special day!

Origami for a Wedding

Here is a project I've been working on these last few days. A woman wanted me to make some cranes for her wedding, to decorate the food and gift tables.

Origami Mini Folders- FREE Instructions

I could not believe that someone was selling these on ETSY for $7.00!
That's almost 60 cents each, or more if you include shipping.
They seriously take me like 1 minute to fold. Therefore, I could fold 60 in one hour, meaning if I sold them for $.60 I would be making $36 an hour. Now that's quite the living.
They're SO EASY to make. Click to read my instructions:
