Boho Triangle Earrings - FREE PATTERN

Here are some super fun Triangle earrings with a boho fringe! They are SO easy to make, and super adorable to wear!

I mean, with a single crochet you can make almost any shape that you want! So I played around a bit and really liked how this one turned out!

Making the triangle motif is the quickest part. Adding the fringe and styling the fringe takes FOR EV ER!!! I initially left my embroidery floss intact, and I thought that the fringe strings looked too thick. I was nervous to try to pull apart all the individual threads. Did you know embroidery thread comes with 6 strands twisted together?

Well, I gave it a shot! I made two sets just in case the unraveling turned out awful. But I JUST LOVE how it looks! I was joking with my kids that if you tilt it sideways it kind of looks like a beta fish! Anywho, I'm sure you're dying to get this free pattern, so check it out below!

Materials:
Size 7 (1.65mm) Crochet Hook (This is the first set I ever owned!)
8 yards Crochet Thread size 10 (This is a great brand for cotton thread!)
OR
Size 4 (2mm) Crochet Hook (I highly recommend this set!)
1 Skein (8 yds each) Embroidery Floss (This is a great deal on bulk floss!)
Sewing needle (Blunt ended needles are a MUST HAVE!)
Earring findings (Here's a great starter kit!)
Round Nose Pliers (I highly recommend this kind of pliers when working with earring findings!)

Gauge:
Motif works out to be about .9" wide using the cotton thread, 1.1" using embroidery thread. Fringe adds about 2" of length to the earring.

Row 9: Ch 1, 1 sc in each sc. Turn. (10 stitches) Fasten off.

FRINGE:
Cut 40 4.5" strands of thread/floss. Fold each in half. Using your hook, draw a up a folded strand through the back of the edges of single crochet edge. Then pull the tails through the loop and pull tight. Repeat with 10 tails on each side. I unraveled each string in half (so 3 strands each). Trim to desired length, about 2". I pull the fringe perpendicular to the work when trimming. this gives the cascading effect to the earrings.

Attach earring findings to the top middle of the triangle and ENJOY!
